Ornate Patinated Tea Strainer
Ornate Patinated Tea Strainer
Couldn't load pickup availability
A small round strainer with a pretty pierced crest at the top and a long, slim handle, finished in a soft, mellow patina with green and gold tones. It’s a graceful little tool for catching tea leaves, and it also looks good hanging on a hook or propped on a shelf. Pieces like this were once part of everyday tea-time, and this one has plenty of character left.
The Details
- Approx. 16cm long × 6cm across the bowl
- silver plate with fine mesh strainer [confirm]
- Condition: natural patina, gentle age spots, mesh intact, no holes or splits
How you can use it
How sweet would this look on a tea tray or on a shelf on a dresser?
Care & Display
The patina is part of its charm, so I’d leave it unpolished. If you’d like it brighter, a soft cloth and a little metal polish will do. Rinse well before use, and dry it thoroughly afterwards. It looks lovely hung in a cottage kitchen or displayed with a teapot and cups.
Shipping: Royal Mail 48 (2–3 working days), wrapped carefully to protect the crest and mesh.
