Cries of London Jam Pot, Green Lid
Cries of London Jam Pot, Green Lid
Couldn't load pickup availability
A cream jam pot with a glossy green lid and knob, decorated with Victorian street sellers from the Cries of London series. A coal porter and a flower seller stand side by side, as if they’ve stopped to chat on their rounds. It’s a charming thing to keep on the breakfast table, and it would look just as good on a kitchen shelf holding sugar, honey or spoons.
The Details
- Approx. 10cm tall × 9cm across
- Glazed ceramic with a printed Cries of London design and a green lid
- Condition: fine crazing to the glaze, which is normal for age; chip to the back but doesn't affect the piece
- Holkham Pottery, [era if known], English
- Marked on the underside
How It Came to Us
Perfect for your morning breakfast tray, filled with your favourite jam
Care & Display
Hand-wash gently and dry well. Fine crazing in the glaze is common in older pottery, so I’d avoid soaking or the dishwasher. It works well for jam, preserves, sugar or honey, or as a pot for kitchen odds and ends on a shelf.
Shipping: Royal Mail 48 (2–3 working days), with the lid wrapped separately so nothing chips in transit.
